Playing for Change

The message I received from the video was that beliefs in something can bring people together, even though we haven’t really met them. And it doesn’t matter how far you are from each other, you will always have the same idea. When I watched the video, I felt a slight sense of proudness. I don’t really know why, but I think its because people found a way to communicate with each other on what they believe in. And they did it with joy, and happiness. As well, I found the song really touching, and it was really catchy. And it really dug into my soul, and made me feel what they were trying to communicate. This video might make a difference, because people might see that if they could bring these people together with something as simple as music, then people might realize that they could do it. This video could also make a difference because, people might see the effect that it has on people and they might use it to spread awareness. It’s important because people can then see that you don’t have to be in the same area or country to share your ideas. You can be 1,000 miles away, and yet share the ideas with one another. Like I said earlier.

Can we live without peace?

Peace on earth is essential. Without it, I think earth would go crazy. Peace makes the world a better place. It makes the earth have a place in life. Peace separates the negatives and the positives. It makes us desire for morepositives. Peace opens our eyes. It gives us time to see the earth. A big ball of green and blue. The way it’s meant to be. Peace. Makes the world go round, day by day.

To my opinion, peace makes a country develop well. I think this because, if you live in a war zone, then bombs are going to be dropping at any given time. And nothing can be built, like hospitals and schools, the things we really need because people are afraid that it might be blown up the next day.  As well governments are wasting their money buying military supplies, when they should be spending their money on things that will benefit everyone, in some way. And what their doing isn’t benefitting anyone. Its just destroying the lives of people, and taking away everything that they had. People are in pain everyday. As well, this can cause some people not to have any food, because maybe some military person is ruling their house, and so they can’t travel far, or even anywhere. And this shows how some places are getting the right development they need, and so their letting down their people, because their not getting the things they need, to keep moving forward. So peace links with this because if peace takes control then, people will put down their guns, realize what their doing and just put an end to everything. As well if you live in a place with peace, then you get all those necessary things you need, to fulfill your life.

The article makes me feel like, theirs something we can do. Something we can accomplish. Something which we can achieve. But it also makes me feel sad as well, because so many people are dieing, because they might not be able to pay for health care. The thing I found interesting was that, how so many children die of so many dieses. And I feel so bad, because in the article they wrote about how children die of measles, and I remember the time when I was small and I got the measles and I was able to get medicine, to make myself better, while they lay there and suffer. And I feel so awful because, shouldn’t all children live happily?

Their making the changes by trying to make health care free, for poor families who can’t afford it. Getting treatment for people who need it. To continue the trend, they should think of even better ways to stop the number of deaths, and reduce it even more. They should also, make sure people are aware of what’s happening to those people, so people can start taking action, and try to help those people out. I found the part where they talked about free health care, in the second to last paragraph confusing, because I didn’t understand what they were talking about. Were they talking about how banks are trying to make money? Or were they talking about paying loans off…?

The statement I would say would be, to achieve the goal they would need to get all the necessary things, and get the right people involved so make it happen.

“Allowing any more children to die because they can’t afford treatment is inexcusable.”

(Not sure who said it, in the last paragraph of “Free health care can save millions more”

Peace One Day:

Ideas I got from the video were, that peace is a very important thing on earth. Having peace around us, gives us time to think. An idea that really made me think was that, why couldn't everyone just get along, why do we have fight, and what does conflict prove, to us. All its showing is that its destroying our environment. Another idea I got was that, it makes us see peace as a reality rather than just a dream in our minds. This guy had an amazing idea, about having a peace day, and this video showed me that he didn't want to give up at any cost, and he knew that in the end, it would all work out and that there will be a day of peace. This shows that striving for something you believe, will make you reach the top. Peace day is important because, it gives us time to forget about the fighting, for a day. And as well, it brings family's and friends closer together. Thats really important because some families are never at peace, and during peace day, they reunite again. Peace day is also important because, it gives us a time to feel the earth, with no negatives sounding it.

What are global issues and why do I care?

Global issues are problems that are happening all over the world. Affecting many people. Pollution and global warming are just some of the situations. Their getting worse and worse, day by day. If we don’t start anytime soon, it will be too late. I care, because I don’t want to live my life thinking, that everyday might be my last. I want to live happily, without thinking that the world might blow up anytime soon. Another reason why I care is because earth is a beautiful place, and I want it to stay the way it is. I don’t want to wake up one day and see that the earth is a trashy covered place.
